I Am Not Able To Get A Dial Tone On My Magic Jack Unit Why?

Greetings. Do you have the dongle (cord) that came with the MJ? Unplug that then plug your MJ back into your computer (try a back usb port) and make sure that your cord from wall jack is shorter than 6 ft. Log into your account online to make sure they have not turned off your Magic Jack.
Also check on the lights first on the magicjack device if it has the 3 lights on. Blue light for the power, yellow for the ethernet connection, and green for the telephone line connection.
Also try this:
Closing the MagicJack program. Right click on the taskbar Click "Task Manager" Click "Applications" tab Right click the MagicJack program Click "Go To Process" click "Processes" tab and should select "MagicJack.exe" Click the End Process button removed the magic jack... Restart the computer after the computer comes all the way back up... make sure you can connect to the internet the insert the MJ into a DIFFERENT USB PORT it should light up... and you should have a dial tone.
you might need a POWERED usb hub and you can also uninstall magic jack and then plug it back it and it will install (maybe some update unistalled something with your MJ).
