Mkt Remote Starter Then Open Door Shutoff?
My father has a 2011 MKT and when you start the MKT using remote start, great feature, but when you swipe the door, it unlocks car but when you open the door, the engine shuts off. This can't be right! If you start the car remotely, how do you get in car without it shutting off and having to restart it? Ridicolous feature, so I think he is doing something wrong. How do you keep the car running when you open the door after starting it remotely. I understand it shutting off if someone else tries to get in car, ut it is locked, it's just opening the door when it goes off. All factory Lincoln systems and fobs.
