Why is my climate control not working?

While there are a variety of reasons your car's air conditioning might not be operating at top performance, the most common are a refrigerant leak, an electrical climate control issue, or a problem with the air conditioning compressor. Each of these can cause the AC to blow lukewarm or hot instead of cold air.

Is there a fuse for climate control?

A fuse is often located on the resistor board. The fuse only protects the low and medium blower speeds.

How do I know if my AC control panel is bad?

Symptoms of a Bad or Failing AC Control Module

Inconsistent cooling. Because the AC control module controls and regulates all of the functions of the system, you may begin to notice cooling inconsistencies when there is a problem. ...

Out-of-date software updates. ...

Uneven air distribution.

What would cause AC not to work?

This typically indicates a loss of power, contactor problems or even a faulty thermostat. A frozen coil often indicates an issue with the airflow, such as restrictions caused by filthy air filters or blocked return air ductwork. Frozen indoor coils could also be the result of low refrigerant.

How do I reset my AC control module?

Here are the steps you need to take to reset your AC thermostat.

Shut Down Your AC at the Thermostat. ...

Find Your Circuit Breaker Box. ...

Reset the Circuit Breaker for Your AC Unit. ...

Wait 30 Seconds. ...

Turn the AC Thermostat Back On. ...
