I Need To Locate Engine Coolant Outlet Tube Fill Plug On '97 Lincoln Continental

I tried to add antifreeze in the reservoir and it overheated. where else ann I add coolant.

You refill it thru the overflow reservoir but its a pain to purge the air out of the system and without doing that, it will overheat. Once you fill it, let the engine run and watch it for no less than 20 minutes or so. As the air leaves the heads the antifreeze level will drop and you just keep topping it off until you feel like the air is all replaced with fluid.

You can buy a prestone flush kit for $4.99 which installs in the heater hose. It has a cap on the tee; you install it and works great for this type of situation. With the cap off, fill the car until all the air is gone.
