Printer Cartridge

I have replaced the cartridge and I keep getting a message "replace defective or missing cartridge." I have now used two new cartridges in the event one was defective. Neither one works. The printer says it cannot communicate with the cartridge. I have reset it several times and it clicks into place, the door closes without any problem, etc. I tried pulling out the photoconductor kit and reset it and the cartridge. Nothing works. HELP

I assume that the pc kit or toners are compatible with your printer, to verify you can send us the part numbers of the toners on the email provided below.

If these are compatible with your printer this may be caused by bad cartridge contact pins, to deal with the bad contact, first clean the pins on the bottom right inside the printer with clean cloth or paper towel.

Second, check if the pins are bent or not springing back up causing it to lose contact with the toner/pc kit. Third, try updating the firmware (support.lexmark.com/printerfirmware)and see if it will help.
