Ideacentre A700 4024 Remove Back Cover

I need to remove the back cover of an Lenovo IdeaCentre a700 4024 to replace a hard drive. After removing the stand, the hardware manual says to remove set screws and then raise cover.I'll be damned if I can find any set screws and the manual doesn't show their location. Can someone tell me where they are?

hzplj9, this was a different model than the one I have. However, the hardware manual for the model I have is wrong. There are not set screws on the back cover. You have to pry the cover off.

So the solution is similar to your answer but had no way to acknowledge that.

For this procedure, it helps to place the computer face-down on a soft flat surface. Lenovo recommends that you use a blanket, towel, or other soft cloth to protect the screen surface from scratches or other damage.

1. Remove any media (diskettes, CDs, or memory cards) from the drives, shut down the operating system, turn off all attached devices, and the computer.

2. Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.

3. Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O) cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to "Locating connectors on the rear of the computer".

4. Remove the computer stand. Refer to "Removing the computer stand".

5. Lift up the computer cover gently by releasing the cover from the setscrews
