Updated Leappad & Now All Of His Apps Including Free And Purchased Are Missing

my sons leappad2 did the automatic update or tune up.. now all the apps are gone... i contacted leapfrog and they keep sending me the same step by step instructions and nothing is working.. my son has now gone 2 weeks without his leappad and nothing seems to be working.. bought new games those uploaded but the other ones still arent avialable, even the music app its still there you can click on it but the actual music inside the app is gone... has this happend to anyone else??? what did you do ???
