Kindly try these steps which should put the LeapPad into a reset/tune up mode:
1) Begin with the LeapPad turned off and the LeapFrog Connect application running on your computer.
2) Hold down these three buttons at the same time:
- Right on the DPad (Since the device can be rotated two ways, the right arrow is on the right side of the DPAD when you are holding it in portrait mode)
- Home
- Down Volume
3) While holding down all 3 buttons , press the power button to turn the LeapPad on.
4) When it powers on, it will have an image of a LeapPad with a yellow triangle on the screen
5) Connect the LeapPad to the computer.
Please follow the steps below for the Repair/Reset after the Tune Up:
Open the LeapFrog Connect Application
1. Click Settings at the top of your screen.
2. To fix an issue with the LeapPad tablet, click Repair. To erase all files and game play data from the device, click Reset.
Note: The need to reset the LeapPad handheld is uncommon and is to be used with caution. It will erase ALL of the player names, game progress, play data, badges and Micromods from both the handheld and the LeapFrog Connect Application. You will need to create new player names on the handheld, and reconnect the LeapPad handheld to use the LeapFrog Connect Application.
3. Click Apply.
