Hi. I believe you mean to do it online because you dont have access to the device. Well go here for that reason

To do a factory reset theres no need to do it online or have any data connection although after its reset, the phone will automatically re-download any system updates it lost during the reset when it gets a connection. From the app drawer select settings > privacy > factory data reset and then confirm.The phone will shut down and then boot itself back up and it will be restored to the factory settings.

If your phone is in such a state that it cannot be done from the settings menu for some reason, you only option is to re-flash the operating system onto the phone using the recovery mode. Its a little riskier in that the battery needs to be fully charged and once its started, you cant stop. Whats selected in the recovery mode menu counts, no yanking the battery real quick and starting over because you clicked something you werent sure of or you got impatient. I dont recommend doing this unless its the only way.

 

LG Venice LG730 Hard / Master / Factory Reset:

1. Power the phone off
2. Press and hold these keys at the same time: (“Volume Down” button + “Home” button + “Power/Lock” button)
3. Release all of the keys when you see the screen message "Permanently Erase User Data & Reset Settings?”. Press the Power key to confirm and any other key to cancel." The first message will be displayed in 10 to 12 seconds.
4. Press the Power/Lock Key to confirm (or press any other key to cancel). When you press the Power/Lock Key to confirm, a pop-up appears asking "Are you sure you want to continue with erase?".
5. Press the Power/Lock Key and your phone will be restored to the factory settings. To cancel, press any other key. Leave your phone for at least a minute while the hard reset is carried out.
6. Your LG Venice LG730 will reboot automatically.
