My Lg420g Says Emergency Calls But Still Makes Any Call. Can I Change The Mode

With phone Open, hit the 9-key (settings), then select/hit Phone Settings, then select/hit Phone Lock. Here it will give you the option set the LOCK ON or LOCK OFF. This is what is giving you the EMERGENCY CALLS banner when you now close your phone. If you select the Change Codes at the prior Security Menu, you will have the option to setup/select a PIN. When you select this PIN and close your phone in the future, the only way you will be able to use the phone (ie- open your phone and read your texts, see your phonebook, etc) is if you know the code which you have selected. The ONLY EXCEPTION is if you were needing to Dial-911 (hence, the EMERGENCY CALL banner). Have fun playing with that security menu. This really is a great little phone for a 'Cheapie'. Enjoy&GoodLuck
