My Portable Super Multi Drive Does Not Work On Windows 8. How Do I Fix That Plea

The external driver does not even respond to the electricity. It does not light up nor work.

Make sure you have both USB connectors plugged into your computer. Some computers require both in order to power the device as one USB port isn't enough to power it. Also make sure you're using the right cable (it should look like the attached photo).
