Okay, I did find some instructions, but they're not for you. Turns out to stay legal, you have to a professional gas technician do the work for you. DIY is illegal, my friend. Sorry!
UPDATE: I have checked other sites that make no mention of the legality, so it's possible somebody is lying. Anyway, here's a technician-provided answer to your issue. Just scroll down until you see "Accepted Answer."
