Kodak Easyshare V1253 Camera Clock Reset
Kodak EasyShare V1253 camera date and time reset when battery removed. Why?Here is the accurate answer and comment. People have claimed there is no internal backup battery. That is false. I happened to have an extra camera fully disassembled. There is a tiny (<1/8") watch-type button battery with spot welded contacts soldered to the board that has the bottom docking connector and Li-Ion camera battery box attached. There is no way to replace that backup battery because of its contacts closeproximity to a ribbon cable connector. Either live without the backup battery and reset the clock and some settings each time the camera battery is removed or discard the camera as e-waste.
