Ice Maker

The ice is produced very slowly which I don't like but can live with.  It is the clumping once it is made and is stored in the ice bin. It is like one giant clump of ice. It looks like it melts and fuses together. When you try to use the ice maker it sounds like it is really working hard to break up the giant clump. When the ice comes out if is all broker up pieces and doesn't even resemble a cube. I have to option to emit cubed ice or crushed. Either option looks the same due to this issue. A&E came out for other issue and when I mentioned this to the technician I was told that is just how the ice is in the models which have the ice maker in the door??? Help. Thank you Tiffany
