Kitchenaid Kcms1455ss Replacement

I have the KCMS1455SS with trim kit, but the trim kit is 24wide, 18high.   I need a new unit as the old one is not working but although the KCMS1655BSS is close, its off by just a bit and new trim kits are much bigger.   Is there a solutoin.  My cabinet is 27in wide by 21in high but thats from outside edge to outside edge and the side wall thickness means I can only have a opening that is 25.5in wide.
