Pairing Optima Audio Bluetooth With Kindle Fire Hd

I have the same problem...this isn't an answer, but it's more info.  Actually, my HD and the Kia both say the device is paired, but they aren't connected.  In other words, they "see" each other, but they won't connect.  I have talked to both Kia and Amazon about this.  Amazon said the Fire HD is compatible with bluetooth profile types:  A2DP, AVRCP, HID, and OPP.  Of these, it would seem like A2DP is the one necessary to play audio from the Fire HD.  I called my Kia dealer and he couldn't find where the bluetooth profile types are specified.  I kinda think it has to be A2DP because I've already streamed music from an iphone4, Motorola DroidX, and a blackberry.  So I have doubts that the profile is the issue, but don't still know.  The Kia dealer said that many Android phones have difficulty (the Fire is Android-based but modified...guessing that BT functionality was not modified by Amazon, however).  He said the newer the car, the most difficulty with compatibility.  Bummer.  I may just have to plug it in through the auxilary jack.
