Why Is There No Oil Ob Dipstick?

I Got My Oil Changed About 3,000 Miles Ago. Its About Ready For A New One. But Today My Oil Light Flashed. I Checked Oil On Dipstick And Its Completely Dry. My Car Has No Leaks And Doesnt Smoke What Is Wrong??
