Oil Pressure Sensor

i have a 2008/ kia optima and a engin lite on says low oil pressure couls this be a oil pressure sensor and if so where is it located this lite has come on and off several times i have put over 25000 miles on this car if it was not getting oil i would have cooked the moter by now
