My 2002 Kia Sport Age Have Flashing Light 'hold', How Can I Turn This Light Off?

I am a female, and need to know ! My 2002 sport age has a light flashing "HOLD" I want to know to turn it off. I Thanks, I need to go to Church, over the Christmas Holidays, I hope I get the help I need.

Unfortunately, you'll have to have the car's computer scanned to determine the problem. The good news is that an auto parts store could likely do this [perhaps saving you a bill from a mechanic]. When the hold light is on this indicates that the overdrive is not engaging.This will happen for one of two reason, the first and most obvious is that someone accidentally hit the hold button on the gear shift and this turns the overdrive off. Second is there is a issue with a solenoid in the valve body, if the hold button has not been tripped the vehicle will need to be hooked to a scanner at a transmission shop to test the solenoids.

Yes. The light blinks when theirs a problem with the transmission control solenoids. Your check engine lightmay also be on. You need to get the the codes read and go from there.
If you don't have a code reader many auto parts do it for free.
