1. Check the water supply: Ensure that the water supply to the washing machine is turned on and that there are no obstructions or kinks in the hoses. Sometimes, a closed or partially closed water valve can prevent the flow of cold water.
2. Clean the inlet filters: Over time, debris and sediment can accumulate in the inlet filters of your washing machine, obstructing the water flow. Locate the inlet hoses connected to the back of the machine and remove them. You should find filters inside the hose connectors and on the back of the machine. Clean these filters by rinsing them under running water and removing any debris. Once cleaned, reattach the hoses securely.
3. Check the temperature settings: Ensure that the temperature settings on your washing machine are set correctly. Sometimes, the cold-water setting may have been accidentally changed or the thermostat may be malfunctioning. Adjust the temperature settings to the desired cold-water level and test if water is being dispensed properly.
4. Test other cycles: If the issue persists, try running the washing machine on different cycles, including shorter cycles that use only cold water. This will help determine whether the problem is specific to a certain cycle or if it affects all cycles.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be a problem with the water inlet valve, temperature control board, or another component within the machine. In such cases, it would be best to contact a professional appliance repair technician or the Kenmore customer support to diagnose and address the problem, considering the age of the machine. They will have the expertise to identify the specific issue and advise on the best course of action.
I hope you're able to get the cold water dispensing issue resolved soon!

- Check the water supply: Ensure that the refrigerator is properly connected to a water supply and that the water supply valve is turned on. Also, make sure the water line is not kinked or blocked.
- Verify water filter status: If your refrigerator has a water filter, check if it's due for replacement. A clogged or expired water filter can restrict water flow. Refer to your refrigerator's manual for instructions on how to replace the water filter.
- Check the water pressure: Insufficient water pressure can result in a slow or no water dispensing. Make sure the water pressure to the refrigerator is adequate. You can test the water pressure by dispensing water into a container and observing the flow.
- Examine the water dispenser system: Check the water dispenser system for any visible leaks, loose connections, or damage. Sometimes, a faulty or damaged dispenser system can cause water supply issues.
- Inspect the water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for allowing water to flow into the refrigerator. If it's faulty or clogged, it can prevent water from dispensing. Consider checking and cleaning the water inlet valve or, if necessary, replacing it.
- Reset the refrigerator: Sometimes, a simple reset can fix electronic glitches. Unplug the refrigerator from the power source for a few minutes and then plug it back in. Check if the water dispenser starts working after the reset.
- Check for frozen water line: If the water line inside the refrigerator is frozen, it can block water flow. You can try defrosting the water line by turning off the refrigerator for a few hours and allowing it to thaw.
