How To Check And Add Transmission Fluid 2008 Jeep Compass.

Checking the transmission fluid on your vehicle requires the use of a special dipstick that your dealer will have. Determining the correct level of the fluid also requires the use of a scan tool so that the temperature of the fluid can be determined. Once the temperature is determined then there is a chart that is needed to determine where the fluid level should be based on the specific temperature of the fluid. So, this is not a simple procedure anymore and that is why they do not supply a dipstick with the vehicle when it leaves the factory.
