Why My 2006 Jeep Liberty Will Not Start?

I put New battery on and when I connect the negative battery cable with positive cable already on battery the light right beside the speedometer at the 35 to 40 MPH mark comes on beeps 2 times and shuts off. I have no lights or power going to anything. Just totally dead. What could that be?

Possible bad ECM but try the following

Check your grounds
Test your new battery (should be between 12.4 and 12.7)
Take the starter to Autozone/Advanceautoparts for free test
Turn the key in the following pattern with the battery connected for any stored computer code: On-Off-On-Off-On
