How To Turn Off (or At Least Turn Down The Volume For) Voice Guidance?

On the Jabra Extreme 2, the Voice Guidance is VERY LOUD, and tapping/pressing on the volume controls on the earpiece itself just keeps repeating the battery status. Where is the volumn control for the Guidance, and how would I deactivate it entirely??

Unfortunately, there's no way to adjust the volume for the Voice Guidance feature. I might suggest reloading the firmware if the problem persists - this may fix your issue. The firmware can be found at http://jabra.com/support/jabra-extreme2_100-95500000-60.

I've found at least a partial workaround: The voice guidance can be toggled to tonal notifications. Those are still plenty loud, but not quite as bad as the voice and don't contain harsh sibilants.

To toggle the headset between voice and tone mode:

Turn off the headset (using the small slide switch)
Press and hold the button at the top (the one used for answering/hanging up)
While holding down that button, turn on the headset
Release the button

After completing this procedure, the headset will either speak (meaning it was toggled to voice mode) or beep (meaning it was toggled to tone mode).
