1. Gather the necessary tools: Make sure you have a small screwdriver set, a soldering iron, soldering wire, and a replacement charging port.
2. Power off the speaker and unplug any connecting cables.
3. Using the small screwdriver, carefully remove any screws that are holding the speaker's casing together. Keep them organized so you don't lose any.
4. Once the screws are removed, gently separate the casing to expose the internal components. Be cautious not to damage any wirings or delicate parts.
5. Locate the charging port inside the speaker. It's typically connected to the main circuit board by soldered wires.
6. Heat up your soldering iron and carefully desolder the wires connected to the damaged charging port. Be sure to keep track of which wire connects where.
7. Remove the damaged charging port from the circuit board. Take your time to avoid any unnecessary damage.
8. Take the replacement charging port and align the pins with the corresponding holes on the circuit board. Make sure it fits snugly.
9. Use your soldering iron to solder the wires from the replacement charging port to the appropriate spots on the circuit board. Double-check that each wire is securely connected.
10. Once the charging port is securely soldered, reassemble the casing by putting the screws back in their respective places.
11. Plug in the connecting cables, power on the speaker, and test the charging port to ensure everything is working correctly.
If you're uncomfortable with any step, I recommend taking the speaker to a professional for repairs. They have the experience and tools necessary to handle the repair.
