Radio Ignores All Button Presses.
HOLD switch is in the "unlocked" position. But radio does not respond to button presses, and display remains dark.Radio has a reset button recessed behind a small hole, but pressing "reset" has no effect.

Okay, it turns out that the hidden recessed "reset" button can be accessed with an unfolded paper clip -- and it DID work on the 7th or 8th try!
Now all that's left is to epoxy glue the j.o. "HOLD" button in its present position, so I NEVER have to go through this procedure again!
I apologize for any confusion, mates!
