Turn off the power to the disposal at the circuit breaker or at the disposal itself.

Remove the sink strainer and check for any large objects that may be causing the clog.

If you find any large objects, remove them with tongs or pliers.

If you do not find any large objects, you can try to clear the clog with a plunger.

Place the plunger over the drain opening and plunge vigorously for several minutes.

If the clog does not clear, you can try using a drain snake.

Insert the drain snake into the drain opening and crank it clockwise until it reaches the clog.

Once the clog is reached, crank the drain snake counterclockwise to break it up.

Once the clog is cleared, turn the power back on to the disposal and run it for a few minutes to flush out any remaining debris.
