Drive Cable Replacement For 2009 Husqvarna Xt722fe

How to replace drive cable on husqvarna xt722fe lawnmower. Last time I replaced cable it rubbed against edge of opening that leads to drive unit until it snapped. Am I missing a part that is causing this cable to do this. It is a 2009
