My Huawei Ascend P2 Is Not Responding To Anything!

I bought the ascend p2 this morning, and when i came home and set up the phone it worked like a charm. however later when I was watching a movie on the phone, I went to grab some food, but when I came back the phones screen was black and it didn't respond to anything (the battery was at 100% when i left the room),  and when I put it in a charger, the little green lamp that indicates wether or not its charging wasn't on, i tried to do a hard reset(vol. up + vol. down + power button, if I'm correct). I havn't dropped it or anythin.g like that, ive only had it for 12 hours, and I really need some help with this issue
