Does A Honeywell 6270 Ademco Alarm System Have Any Batteries Located Anywhere?

I am trying to help a recently widowed member of the family out. She has a 6270 alarm system but knows very little about operating it ( as do I). She thinks the batteries for the keypad need changing: however, neither one of us can figure out how to remove cover for the keypad and change the batterie. We have downloaded a user's manual. The manual does not say anything abut removing keypad cover or changing the batteries. Please Help Michael
