Valve Stem Material

We're installing wireless tire pressure monitors on a 2007 cr-v; the monitor manufacturer advises a special monitor is required if the valve stems are aluminum. That's my question, are the stems made of aluminum or some other material?

The stems are aluminuim but the sensor is plastic.
