Firing Plate Problem

firing plate does not return to position. Tried flat head screwdriver to push back to no avail.

The firing plate could be jammed with a staple or nail depending on what is being used. If it (whatever it is) is stuck above the plate it will stop it returning. It could be that the plate is bent for the same reason. You will need to dis-assemble the unit to find out what is calling the jam I'm afraid. I would suggest if you are attempting it yourself take photos as you go so re-assembly will be simpler.

Gun Doesn't Always Fire On The First Trigger Poll.
Gun usually will fire on the 2nd or 3rd, but not always on the first.
