Most likely a blown lamp or failed coolimg fan. You can rule out the fan if you can hear it running at startup. Here's a reputable bulb company that I've used before, they have a fair price and give you OEM parts with instructions they even give you a latex glove to do the job with most bulbs. Most of the time you only need to take your time and keep the plug out so everything discharges for about 30 min. All newer TV's have built in discharge circuit that just takes a short time to be effective. Make sure you are competent to use a screwdriver and seat the bulb firmly, but gently. As a rule the average life span is a couple years, its good to keep a spare, if possible.

I hope this is helpful to you!
