The cable is a usb cable , fitting to a pc- the other end of the
USB cable is connected to the back of the scanner .
The USB symbol on the end of the cable (the connector) should be facing up. There is not much more information in this booklet, and it may be the smaller usb connection on the scanner end- Have a look at the back of the scanner, and check against the different cables listed here - (I would say its a usb cable like this one, male both ends https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_nkw=New+7+ft+USB+Cable+for+Barcode+Scanner+Symbol+LS2208+LS4208+LS9208+DS6707+M2007&_itemId=280962395263&_trksid=p2047675.m4099
