Add Hp Photosmart Plus B210 To A New Computer

new computer is a Lenovo and I cannot find the hp photosmart plus B210 series as a choice when I attempt to add the printer to my computer

Greetings. I made the same mistake of trying to add a printer in that way some years ago. That is a more advanced way and the exist a more simplier one. Insert the Disc that came with your printer into the CD drive and install everything off that disc (the driiver & software bundle) - following the on-screen instructions as you go along (like when you are promted to connect the printer's USB cable onto the computer). The driver is necessary for the pprinter to be recognised by the computer. Do let us know if you do not have the printer disc on hand.

Hello bhlacroix,

You will need to install the printer's driver before the computer will recognize the printer. You can download the driver on HP's Support website located here

Once at the link choose the operating system you have from the choices in the dropdown menu and click Next. A list of available downloads should appear, click on the one that has Driver in the title to download.

Once the download is complete, the installation instructions should appear on your screen to begin setting up the printer with your computer. Continue to follow the steps to completion.

Please note: I suggest you turn off the printer, disconnect the cables (Power and data) and set printer aside for now. Then reboot your computer and install the driver from the HP website. The printer should remain disconnected until instructed otherwise during set up.
