How do I scan an 8x10 photo?

Should be a simple procedure of putting the photo onto the scanning window in the correct orientation and selecting the scan option. The scanner will scan the document and it can be accessed from your PC or you can copy. I have attached a link to HP which gives lots of information, drivers etc.
