What Do I Need To Connect To A Computer With Windows 98

Directly or over a network?

Direct connection requires a USB cable.

Network requires, well, a network....

You'll also need the Windows 98 drivers. There are no Windows 98 drivers available for this printer. The oldest they go is Windows 2000.

What you can do is try some generic drivers for like a Laserjet 4. Windows comes with numerous generic drivers and the LJ4 is about as generic as they come.

Try and use the drivers that come with Windows 98 for an HP printer. If they don't work you'll need to hunt around HP's web site to find some that work. https://support.hp.com/us-en
