Grinding Noise

I would first check that there are no foreign bodies in the carriage area. Listen whilst the printer is running to identify the location of the noise. It is most likely something has got into the printer and is fouling the mechanics. If the item cannot be removed or there are broken parts (Gear wheels for example) then a service will be required.
