My Elitebook 8440p Labtop Won't Turn On. I've Got The Power Source Plugged Into

Remove the battery and unplug the power adapter. Wait a minute and plug in ONLY the power adapter. If it still won't boot, then its likely a bad motherboard and/or bad charging board. You can try swapping out the ram but it probably won't help.

If you follow the other answer you may be successful as that is the preferred first steps. However there is also a further step you can do. Follow the instructions supplied but before refitting the power cable hold the power button down for around 20-30 seconds as this discharges any residual power and performs a reset.
