If you are able to recieve email then you have an internet connection.

You said you were able to go somewhere else and use a computer, but tit is unclear if you are able to use this computer on another connection or if you are using another computer entirely.

If you are able to get online somewhere else with your computer then there is going to be a networking issue. Could be as simple as your router has dropped the ip address. Leave your modem plugged in, unplug the power to your router and leave it out for about 15 secs then plug it back in and restart your computer.

If you are unable to get online anywhere with your computer it's going to be either

  1. an issue with your settings, could be a proxy or dns issue
  2. corrupted files within your browser. You can load another broswer onto a thumb drive then install it onto to your computer to see if this is the case.
  3. a virus.

Without any more deatiled information I would recommned first calling your ISP so they can walk you through some basic troubelshooting and verify your modem is online and that your router is pulling an ip address from the modem. If all that checks out but does not resolve your issue I would suggest a PC tech.
