Losing Drivers

when printer is switched off and then later switched back on the pribter drivers have gone adn have to be reinstalled, . removed all the old printers drivers from prev ious printers but still doing the same thing any ideads anyone as running out of ideas

Sounds like the driver install has not completed. Depending on the way you are connected sets the protocol. You need to remove any historical files even after un-installing the old driver files. Search for any files with HP in the name and remove the folder or files. You must reboot. This ensures that the old links have gone. If you have a registry cleaner run that, as that will remove any loose ends. Then re-install the driver and perform a test print. If successful then reboot your PC and check again. This should set the correct configuration for you. I have attached troubleshooting link to HP. If still no luck come back with any more info you can.
