The printer should have been supplied with a USB printer cable. If you do not have one you need to obtain a USB cable which will connect to the printer. It should be an A to B but this can be verified by looking at the printer sockets. After powering up the printer you connect the printer and the PC should see it as a new device. I have attached a link to HP where all the information you need is there to tell you how to connect and setup your printer.
