Use following steps to scan single or multiple pages in scanner :

Use page-by-page (single page) scanning in HP Director

Load the original that is to be scanned face-down in the document feeder.
Click the HP Director icon in the dock.
Click the HP Director, and then click Scan to open the HP dialog box.
Click Scan .
To scan multiple pages, load the next page and click Scan . Repeat until all pages are scanned.
Click Finish , and then click Destinations .

Multiple-page Scanning in HP Director

Load the originals print side down in the document feeder.
Click the HP Director icon in the dock.
Click the HP Director , and then click Scan to open the HP dialog box.
From the Destinations dialog box, make your selection from the drop-down menu, and then click OK .
