Pool Vac Xl Stays In Deep End

My new Pool Vac XL seems to work fine in the shallow end, but after it travels to the deep end, it is unable to climb the steep incline, and stays in the deep end permanently. I already changed the rear flap adjuster from II to position III. Please advise how to remedy this issue. Thanks.
