You can contact customer service via online chat or telephone. You must have an account to be do the online chat. They will only tell you the status of the groupon if you have the account information from which the groupon was purchased.

Brother purchased groupon as gift for sister. Sister forgets about the groupon. Sister contacts groupon customer service to see of it is still valid. Groupon will not assist sister. Groupon tells sister to have brother call / online chat because he is the account holder from which the groupon was purchased. This is the only way to find out if the groupon is still valid before you use it.

I just went through this 5 minutes ago.
