It is possible to overclock the Intel Core i7-3770K processor with the Gigabyte GA-P75-D3 motherboard, however, whether or not you will be able to achieve a stable overclock of 4.2GHz or higher is highly dependent on several factors such as the cooling system you are using, the quality of your power supply, and the specific characteristics of your processor.

The Gigabyte GA-P75-D3 motherboard has a BIOS that allows for adjusting clock speed, voltage, and other settings to overclock the processor. However, it's important to note that overclocking can put extra stress on the processor and other components and can lead to stability issues or permanent damage.

To achieve an overclock of 4.2GHz or higher, it is recommended to use a high-quality aftermarket CPU cooler and a high-quality power supply. Additionally, you may have to adjust the voltage and other settings in the BIOS to achieve a stable overclock.

It's important to start with small overclocking increments and to monitor the temperatures and stability, also consult the motherboard's manual for the recommended settings for your specific model.

It's also important to consider the overall performance gain from overclocking, as the gain may not be substantial enough to justify the potential risks, and also the power consumption may increase.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that not all processors are created equal and some may have better overclocking potential than others, so your mileage may vary.
