Burner Ignition Problem

After washing the burner knobs, one of them was replaced on the stove while wet and appears to have shorted the mechanism that causes the spark during burner ignition.  Can this be simply repaired?

The only answer I can give you is relative. A certified technician will say, "it's easy"! A typical home-owner would say "it's difficult to impossible". It depends upon your own skills, education, experience, etc.
