Install New Drive

I have the SX2802 with a 750 HDD which has gone bad (SMART errors).  I made my recovery disks (3) and a Driver's Disk (1). I removed the 750 drive and install a 1T drive.  I used the Recovery disks which loaded fine but I get the error that Windows cannot operate with the current hardware (paraphrase) and the system wont go beyone this error.   I cannot figure out how to install a new drive.  1) I created the System Recovery disks; 2) I removed the old drive (750); 3) I installed the 1T drive; 4) I loaded the System Recovery disks; 5) and the system will boot to the Windows 7 screen but I get the error that "Windows cannot work with the current hardware configuration" What have I done wrong.  The people I speak with tell me that there should be no problem. Please help.
