I Bought A New Nuvi40 And Can't Turn It On. Any Suggestions?

do you let it charge at least 10 hours, or try to power it with the usb cable connect to computer, some gps need to push power button at least 3 seconds to power on try that too, if nothing work return it maybe the battery is defective or the system itself
