My Garmin Will Not Charge. How Do I Fix This?

The Forerunner or Edge 205/305 from time to time may not power on or take a charge. A soft reset can be performed to unfreeze it.
No user information will be lost by doing this reset. The reset is most effective when the device is connected to the computer.
To reset Forerunner or Edge 205/305:
- Connect device to computer
- Press and hold Mode and Lap/Rest for 10 seconds
- Release both buttons
- Power device on once Charging in Process message appears
Once the device is powered on, you will want to update the device’s operating system using myDashboard. Once the device is on and updated, do not remove from charger until the display shows Charging Complete.
