Problems With 2006 Envoy Wheel & Gas Gaugh.

We a purchased a new Envoy in 2006 along with approximately 20 different makes and models in our lifetime and this model is the only vehicle where the gas gauge doesn't work which happened about 18 months ago and the center wheel caps have completely fallen off, all four of them. We also noticed wjile driving around, we saw other Envoys center wheel caps missing as well. We would want to purchase another 4 center wheel caps to make the SUV look attractive but we're afraid if we do, the center wheel caps may come off again just like we've see on other Envoys as well. The problem with the gas gauge is serious because I don't know how much gas is in the car. One evening I was out alone and my husband drove the car that morning but I didn't know it, so I'm thinking there should be enough gas in the tank and while I'm out on a road at night my car runs out of gas and everything just locks down including the steering wheel. Luckily I wasn't on the expressway because if a car or semi was behind me I'd be in serious trouble. I would like to know if there's been other complaints about this so we won't be wasting our money on something that's going to happen because of a default in that model and year vehicle. I would also like to know if this is a complaint about the gas gauge problem because someone else could get injured or killed.
